A friend told me about a consulting company he hired that created something from a template with slight modifications for this company. Then they said to the 1,000 person sales force, "Okay, now use it," without giving them any support, any reason why they should be doing it, any understanding of how this was going to improve what they were doing.
He said, "It failed. I've got nobody using the new system because nobody told them why they needed to do it. Somebody just said, 'You have to use it.'" - Alex
