Sometimes you just have to take a step back and take 5 minutes to talk about, "Where are you now and what are you hoping to accomplish? Then we can work towards the middle in terms of what needs to actually happen."
Those five minutes of thinking and planning will ultimately save you:
• Hours of developing something that is not going to solve the problem
• Weeks of rolling out training that ends up not being necessary
• Months of fixing missteps
