In our organizational adoption and change work, it comes down to not only really liking people, but being really curious about people and interested in what motivates them. I don’t mean this in a seedy, “find my in…” kind of way. I mean in a very real way.
It’s understanding where they came from, what they’re doing, and what their goals are… this helps you to understand what is going to get them to the next level.
I think this is one of the reasons why I am so into the sales organization work that we’re doing right now; figuring out what makes that individual salesperson tick, how to motivate them to make a big change and stick with it. It’s a fascination of mine. - Alex
